Our privacy promise
Every test on DeviceCheck runs inside your web browser. When you test your microphone or webcam, the sound and picture are analysed on your own device and are never uploaded, recorded on a server or seen by anyone else. Recordings and snapshots stay with you, and devices switch off as soon as you stop a test or leave the page.
The only thing we keep is your best scores in games like the click speed test, saved in your own browser so you can try to beat them.
Which test do I need?
- Getting ready for a video call? Run the mic test and webcam test, then check your headphones with the sound test.
- Bought a new monitor, TV or phone? Use the dead pixel test and the black screen to look for faults while you can still return it.
- Need light? A white screen makes a soft face light; the blackout screen makes your screen look switched off.
- Gaming kit playing up? The controller tester checks for stick drift, the mouse test finds faulty double-clicks, and the keyboard tester shows dead keys.
